Something inside him
said
He could worship
His reflection
seemed
Larger than all
And he decided
All the other
loves were mediocre
and trivial
Compared
to the love and awe
of his projected self.

And the love of the son
seemed selfish.
And the love of the woman
turned sinful.
No
the whole world was
a thing of contempt..


He got divinity
She lost humanity.
