what lies behind your dark words
why is it that evry time
my desire to know you
crumbles down
in a heap of confusions
your words seem
the ghosts of the contempt
that you nursed
when all the while
i saw
a smile
that beamed on me
through your dark eyes..

ReplyDeleteLove is always ambiguous, something is always hidden behind that smile. At that time the smile appear devilish. this confusion is due to some hidden fact. that is hidden either because the lover doesn't want her/him to know as she/he will be worried about it or because of the fear of losing her/him.In any this changes the eye with which she/he will watch him/her now. The relation will still remain like this until he/she clears every notion she/he has about him/her. Really a nice poem to express a desire to know something which the narrator thinks is important enough to be told to her/him.
