Fading colours of a Rainbow
Chanced to peep at me;
Halfhearted
Through the concrete reality of modern machanised existence....

Hardly enough to colour
My fragile dreams, they mock
My weak-willed race of madness
Leaving me to friction with the square reality.

Beauty does not haunt me anymore
As it used to...
Alas! for my desperate desire
To reach out to you who are real!

I woke up only to find
The rainbow faded....

  1. This one is your best work out of the three. The faded rainbow is unable to reach the world through the mechanized reality. Even in dreams that friction with reality continues. In order to get to her beloved the narrator has to go through the reality. But in the end what remains is that faded rainbow, haunting.
